‘The Trauma brought back home - A Historical perspective on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from WWI to today’
PTSD affected war veterans historically had and still have a deep impact on their communities when they return home. What forms did this impact take after WWI? How did untreated war veterans affect other generations and society? How can today’s treatments help affected veterans and their communities?

This event is scheduled within the framework of the commemorations of WWI and we will invite an audience composed of prominent personalities in the local life sciences sector, historians and US Defense personnel. The objective is to showcase Belgium’s expertise in the PTSD field whilst and using the historical perspective to enhance common issues facing Belgium and the United States.’
