On the occasion of the visit of the Group Science, Engineering and Technology to the United States,
Headed by Vice-rector Georges Gielen, accompanied by distinguished deans and vice-deans.
"Education and the innovation economy: how to train our next-generation knowledge workers."
The debate will discuss challenges on how to train people to feed the innovation economy. Do we need education that combines sciences, technology, economics, entrepreneurship, etc, from bachelor's level, all the way to masters? Do we need new educational techniques? Do we need to expand our efforts on STEM in high school? Those and more questions will be discussed at the Flanders House by an expert panel.
